Prettiest Pearls Inc. awards scholarships on the basis of a competitive process that may consider academic achievement, extracurricular activities, demonstrated volunteer commitment to your community, personal statement of what the student has learned by participating in Prettiest Pearls Inc., and how has this prepared you for college. Scholarships are awarded based on the Scholarship Committee’s recommendations. The scholarship will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for full time course load at four-year colleges/universities in the United States.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for a scholarship award, all students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
▪ Be enrolled as a senior in High School in the United States of America.
▪ Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen.
▪ Must be planning to enroll in a four-year college or university in the fall of 2021 as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student.
▪ Be a financial member of Prettiest Pearls Inc. (Dues of $25 for the year has been paid.)
▪ Demonstrated volunteer commitment of time to support people in your community.
▪ Have met a minimum cumulative grade of 70% or (2.0 GPA equivalent).
▪ Attend a minimum of two Prettiest Pearls Inc. community service activities.
▪ Received written acceptance from your selected four-year college(s) – copy of acceptance must be included in application*.
▪ Completed and submitted application materials by the postmarked deadline date.
*A copy of the applicant’s written acceptance from a four-year college(s) is required in the scholarship application. Some applicants may have been accepted by more than one four-year College and have not made a final decision of which college to attend when submitting this scholarship application.
